THE REFORMER

The Reformer is one of the many pieces of apparatus created by Joseph Pilates and is used to enhance the Pilates method. Using a sliding carriage, springs and pulleys, the Reformer engages multiple muscle groups to build strength, increase flexibility, improve posture and align the body. We follow classical Reformer routines that progress gradually, allowing your body to adapt and master the fundamentals before advancing to more complex work.

THE TOWER

Our Reformers are fitted with a Tower, allowing for a broader range of exercises and a more rounded practice. The Tower supports targeted work such as spinal mobility, offers assistance where needed, and adds challenge when appropriate. This versatility enhances strength, flexibility and balance, while enabling a more personalised approach that adapts to individual goals, abilities and progression over time.

MAT PILATES

Mat Pilates is the foundation of the classical system and a core part of the Pilates method. Using bodyweight resistance, it develops strength, control, and body awareness from the inside out, helping you connect mind and body. While equipment-based Pilates, such as the Reformer, adds resistance and support to challenge your practice, mat work establishes the essential movement patterns, breathing techniques, and alignment principles that underpin the system, making it accessible for beginners and valuable for experienced practitioners refining their skills.
